I am going to Orlando at the end of the month and thinking of staying at a budget hotel on Int drive

In terms of getting to the parks at a decent hour- do I rely on the hotel transport? or do I rent car for the time that I am there?

how often does transport from I drive (either with hotel or independent buses) go to the parks. I want to for example come back to the hotel after a day at disney and then go back in the evening for the illuminations etc.....- is the tramsport flexible

alternative option is to stay on site- but I am only spending 3 days at wdw and then 3 days at universal / IOA / SW

Any recommendations- also worst case what does a taxi from a park to the middel of I Drive cost?

get a rental car.

sometimes an off-site hotel shares with other hotels (that have the same brand name) - so you could easily spend more than an hour getting to the parks.

off-site transportation generally only goes a couple of times in the morning and a couple of times in the evening.

they use to leave before the fireworks shows - but I heard that they now stay for those. although someone says if the bus is full and leaves if there are guests still waiting to get on the bus - it doesn't come back - I would think this could mean a law suit.....

so just get a car - it will costs you less in the long run - of course if you have been to WDW so many times that not good transportation won't be a problem for you. then TRY IT!!! and come back here and say how it was for YOU!!!
