How much time do you think we need to get from Pop Century to the Poly for a 9:10 am ressies at Kona?
I'm thinking of taking the bus to MK and getting on the monorail.

You are looking at, potentially, 90 minutes to 2 hours depending on how the buses and the monorail are running. You would be much better off getting a cab or uber.

Disney says to allow yourself 90 minutes to get from Point A to Point B. The morning is tough because you will be fighting with everyone else who is leaving to get to the parks/breakfast reservations. It takes about 20 minutes to get from Pop to MK. You shouldn't have any issues with waiting for a monorail since you will be going against the flow of traffic. You can use either monorail...if for some reason the resort monorail is down you could take the express to the TTC and walk over to the Polynesian. Or you could boat over. My husband and I have had wonderful luck when we've given ourselves some extra time and we've also had situations where we were more than 30 minutes late because we didn't allow ourselves enough time and were just having terrible luck with transportation! I would probably be at the bus stop by 7:45...8 at the latest. In the end it is going to come down to how long you have to wait for the bus at Pop. Everything else should be quick.

Ya I was thinking of about a 7:30 arrival time at the bus stop at Pop. I didn't think about the boats but that is an option. Thanks for the tip! Will they hold your ressie if your late?

I agree that 7:30 is probably the safest bet to be at the bus stop! Then you can feel relaxed, not rushed, and even if you are a little bit early you can explore the Polynesian. They will attempt to seat you but you may have to wait awhile. We were headed from Caribbean Beach to Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club and even though we left a decent amount of time, we didn't account for the 40 minutes it would take from getting onto the bus (not just waiting for one...a bus was there right away!) out of Caribbean Beach's gates :scared:. It was right after they implemented the cancellation fee so I was freaking out that we were going to be charged. They were so sweet when we walked up and could tell we were a little frazzled. They sat us right away but we were counting on being turned away, so that was a nice surprise. My experience has been that they will try to accommodate you if you have a valid excuse, but not to count on it and be on time just in case! Enjoy Kona! It's our must-do breakfast at Disney!

20 min w a cab or uber, Disney transportation 90 minutes easy

They will usually give 15 min max for ADR. At that point they may add you to the end of the list ne or no show

you should not have to wait for the bus in the morning when one fills up another one pulls in, it's about a 15 min ride 20 min walk with monorail ride to the poly,so if you leave at 8:30 you should have plenty of time, I done this many times .

I do not agree with this. It's very possible to have to wait for a bus in the morning and you never know how you could get delayed along the way with multiple modes of transportation. For a 9:10 ADR you need to be checking in at the podium around 8:50. No way.

Perfect scenario would be nice.mdont count on it. Once you get the fb the bus, you have to head over to the boat or monorail, resort boat I mean

The odds of it waiting for you are small

Then the resort monorail heads to the cr, ttc, then the poly. Lots of loading on, 20-30 min just for monorail portion
