travel time to Trail's end?

We never ended up going to trail's end restaurant at Fort Wilderness but what is the travel time and how does one even get there from one of the other resorts?

(I'm asking because i've heard nothing but positive reviews for chef TJ, who is very accomodating with people with food allergies/sensitivities)

I take it you aren't staying at WL. You can boat or walk from there.
Otherwise, the best plan of action is going to MK and then catching a boat to FW. The restaurant is a short walk from the boat dock.
Length of time is tricky as it's hard to say how long you'll have to wait on a boat, or even wait on a bus from your resort.

no, we were staying at AKL and took 20 minutes to get from AKL to MK and usually a 20 minute wait for the bus at AKL

We took a bus from beach club to the MK and then a boat to Trails End. We had very good luck (minimal wait for the the bus and the boat hadn't left yet), but it still took about an hour I want to say.

You can catch boats direct from MK, and once the boat arrives it is about a 15 min ride. The wait can be a while though, so we allow at least 30 min from MK. Another option is to take a boat from CR to FW. There are separate boats that do the CR/FW/WL loop on bay lake and it is a quicker boat ride than from MK. Just another option if you want to walk over to CR or are coming in by monorail. We really enjoy Trail's End and the fact that we can often get in without an ADR.
