In my excessive planning, I discovered that one day we are going to be in tomorrowland and then going to DTD for lunch at rainforest cafe, and sure enough the monorail stops in both places! When should we plan on boarding the monorail in tomorrowland in order to arrive in DTD at 11:15 am??

Thanks...

I think that direction the trip is around 6 minutes. Coming back into the park the trip is a couple of minutes longer. There is not usually a line mid-week mid-day off season. The monorail station in DTD is literally in front of Rainforest.

Fabulous! We can "do" the monorail and actually have it take us from point A to point B on purpose and quickly!! :)
Rainforest cafe is our Friday lunch... I'll keep an eye on the line while we are doing T.Land stuff that morning...

Thanks!

I just rode the monorail today from TL to DTD and it took 40 mins  I waited for a few minutes, then they loaded one train up and then I had to wait for it to come back.

Right now they only have 1 train working (the other one is in the shop), so unless you happen to walk up with no line and get on a train right away, it can be a bit of a wait. My DH walked and beat me by a long shot.

Thanks for the headsup! I know dd will want to ride the train, so I was trying to figure out a good time to ride it without just "riding it." Hopefully it won't be too bad... but I'll keep an eye on the line... if not we'll walk...

40 minutes is an awfully long time - something else had to be going on there. It could have made 3+ rounds trips in that amount of time.

We went Friday night and got to the platform as it was departing. I asked to ride with the driver and there was one other family waiting so we had to wait for the car to come back and then make another round trip as there was only one car at the time, and the whole wait only took 20 minutes for 2 round trips. The entire crowd was able to board each time, there was not a wait to ride the monorail itself, just a wait to ride with the driver. It is usually only crowded around times when people want to go back to their hotel. Just before dinner and at the end of the night mostly.
