I did a search and I couldn't find it. I know it has been asked over a million times.

What is the average time from your "landing time" in Orlando to the point where you are checking into your resort? I will be using ME.

Well.....no one knows for sure yet, since ME does not officially start til May 5th. Best guesstimate, I would say you could be checking in at your resort an hour and a half (maybe a tad longer) after you land.

We'll see for sure after May 5th I bet.

Since ME is basically Mears, I would guess that the typical Mears times would apply. In December, it took me about 2 hours from the time my plane landed till I was in line at Pop Century
-25 minutes to get off the plane and ride the tram to the main terminal
-30 minutes to get my luggage off the belt
-20 minutes waiting for the rediculously overcrowded van to show up
-35 minutes travel time to the WDW area
-25 minutes as the van made stops at 3 or 4 other resorts before Pop Century

Of course, if you happen to be getting off at the FIRST stop the van makes, that will shave 25 minutes off your travel time.

It may be operated by Mears but I don't expect the times to be the same. Many many more people will be using ME so they can schedule the buses better.

Time will tell how it is working. I see the buses every day doing trial runs to the airport at different hotels.

Magical Express should be far superior to the current Mears service. For one thing, you can head to your Magical Express coach without having to wait for your luggage. And because the luggage will be on luggage trucks, not in your motor coach, the whole service (including the stops at the hotels) should be faster.

For more thoughts from other people, see the thread, "Mears Shuttle questions for the new Magical Express....." at http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=710918

However, no matter how well Magical Express is run, it's still a shared service. There's always a chance that you'll get to the motor coach departure area right after a coach to your hotel departed. And, although each coach will only go to 3 or 4 Disney hotels, you could be the last stop.
