Travel time from MK to MCO

We have a 9:15 am PS for Crystal Palace at the MK for the day of our flight (Monday, 11/1). It's a Southwest flight that leaves at 2:00. What time should be make sure we're heading out of the park to get to the airport without going crazy? Also on a side note, has anyone ever dropped part of the party off at the Southwest curbside check-in and then gone on to return the rental car? We're renting from National so I was wondering if this might be a help in getting good Boarding Passes for at least part of the party.

I can't comment on the Southwest curbside question, but speaking from personal experience, I would allow about 45-60 minutes to drive from MK to MCO, including the time to return the rental car. The airlines recommend you get there about 1-2 hours before departure, so that makes your leaving time between 11 and noon (probably to be safe, hitting the road absolutely no later than 11:30, although to get good boarding passes, leave as early as possible). I agree with 11:30 but if you have access to a computer you could check in ahead of time.

You could also all check in curbside, then one of you return the car. There is no problem with doing this unless there is a long line at curbside checkin.
