Travel time between Wilderness Lodge and HS?

Hi. Another question...we are staying at Wilderness Lodge and are only planning one day at HS. We have breakfast ressies at 10:00 at H&V and dinner ressies at Mama Melrose at 5:00. We are rope drop people who like to go back to the resort for a little rest in the afternoon. I am wondering how long it takes on the bus to get to HS from Wilderness Lodge...I'm trying to figure out if we will be able to go back to the resort that day. Has anyone done it? Thanks in advance for any insight or advice. ~Anna

Allow 45-60 minutes.

The actual TRIP will take about 12-16 minutes (once the bus heads toward/from DHS,) but you need to allow for
wait times.

I realize you're "ropedrop" folks but what I'm hoping to do for our Sept trip is the following (we're also at the WL)

1. Boat to Contemporary
2. Monorail to Transport center
3. Monorail to Epcot (now timing is an issue here because we have to be able to get in.
4. Walk through Epcot to boat to HS

Now if you're in a hurry or don't need the walking........not a good plan. For us its adding some zing to our trip!

It seems to me that you're not going to have a lot of time to tour DHS with that plan, unless of course that's what you want. Eating breakfast is going to take a while, then traveling back to WL for a break and then back to DHS for in time for a ADR (not to mention the time spent at WL relaxing), and it seems to me that you're only going to have a few hours to tour DHS.

Thanks for the heads up siskaren. I just changed our breakfast to 8:25. I'm sure my husband won't be happy but I figure he can skip breakfast and meet us later if thats what it takes. LOL We are only planning one day at HS because my children are really young and would prob enjoy MK more.

I'm also only planning 1 day at HS and 1 day at AK, because my kids are 7 and 4 and I think they would enjoy MK and we would enjoy Epcot. To save time, we're taking taxis to DH and AK. We may take the buses back, because I heard that WL is the first stop back.
