Are we allowed to use a travel steamer in our room??
Also- what is the price to have clothing pressed?

... to have things pressed! I don't remember the exact cost but it was very, very reasonable. All we had to do was give them to Jerome (loved that guy!) & presto chang-o they were perfect & back in the room a few hours later!!! :teeth:

Thanks for the info!! I had read a recent posting (last month or so)with someone saying how they used a travel steamer they brought from home, but I didnt think they were allowed. I guess wewill be going with the DCL pressing service! :D

I don't remeber the exact costs for the ships laundry services but I remeber thinking it was no more expensive than to have it done at any of the dry cleaners around home.

When we cruised in January I brought my little steamer and used it everyday! I had no idea they were not allowed! I just always bring mine when we travel. It was left out on the desk everyday, so our stateroom host must have seen it, as we were not hiding it, but he never said anything about it to us.

I just looked through the brochure and it states "For safety reasons, irons and steamers may be used in the laundry room only."

So to me, they are saying you may bring them, but they must be used in the laundry room. So next cruise, I will probably bring it again but use it in the laundry room this time.

On every trip I've taken -- not just cruises -- I bring my travel steamer and iron. I always shove them in my suitcase and then hope to not need them. I think I brought them when I cruised in December.

Will Disney know if they are in my luggage? Will they be removed?
