For ease of check in, I said we were driving to and from the port. Do I have to change this to add our flights? Why does Disney need to know this? I'd rather keep it as it is; flights and plans sometimes change anyway.

You do not need to update the information. The only situation in which transportation would matter is if the ship is getting back late on debarkation day and people who have flights leaving soon might be allowed to disembark before those who don’t. In that case, though, I would guess passengers onboard would be asked to confirm their travel arrangements.

Disney Cruise may want to know travel information to plan for busses. It would also help them know which incoming passengers might be affected by massive road or air travel delays.

I think they use it for planning for tags at the end of the cruise -- express walkoff vs. early tags.
