Travel Planner??

Has anyone use a travel planner before? not a travel agent but a company that makes your reservations for you and helps you decide on hotel, tickets and can even help with your dining arrangements? The last time we went to WDW we went through a travel agency and this time I was prepared to do everything on our own(i felt with the boards and websites that i was pretty knowledgeable on what we wanted)....on a facebook that page that i am on, a link to mymickeyvacation came up and i was looking into it....Im just wondering if I should use them or just do it myself....

I do it all myself. Hotel, tickets, ADRs, Itinerary. If you are into that kind of stuff, I'd say GO FOR IT!! I love doing this stuff!! I have charts for everything!! Right now I am planning a trip for Sept 2015. I already have a sheet that tells me what week we are going, what Hotel, the estimate cost of the hotel, the tickets I want to buy and the estimated price. I have three travel options listed, the hotels address. Then on the next page, I have an Itinerary started for the days we are there. ADRs I want to make. I won't be able to list the parks until the crowd calendar comes out. On the third sheet I have a driving Itinerary started as well.

It makes the time go faster and it gets you even more excited to go!!

My husband and his buddy make fun of me because they say it makes my OCD really happy to plan stuff like this, or any trip we take!!

I do it all myself too! I like knowing that I'm in control of every aspect of it and I don't have to rely on anyone but myself. And honestly, it's not hard at all.

I know that most of us that are travel agents do provide that extra service to help get ADRs, etc. My understanding is that most agents provide that service for free as part of their services.

Making your own reservations is not difficult if you do them online, but having to call in is time consuming.

I got to thinking, if these people charge the same as the Disney website, then what's the point? I got upset with the travel agent because it seemed like I did all the legwork, they just did the booking. I guess I don't see the point of a travel planner when I have an idea of where I want to stay and where to eat. I love reading the experiences on these boards...

I was reading up on the people at My Mickey vacation...they seem to have some good reviews. I am going to bite the bulllet and trust them. I think that was my hold up on using a travel planner, trusting someone not to screw me over. You hear so many horror stories and after reading reviews and seeing they are referred by other companies, I think they should be ok. It might be nice having someone help me plan our vacation than having to deal with all the stress myself.

We prefer to do our own planning - a huge part of the fun for us is planning where to go, what to eat, etc. I wouldn't like leaving that to someone else.

We did use a travel agent before, but did the planning and just had her book it. But we ran into more problems not owning the reservation - it was more stress than planning would be.

Of you use a travel agent or someone else to plan the trip you cannot make any changes yourself until check in. They have to do it. So if there was a flight issue or other last minute issue where you wanted to change something you can't unless you have them do it
