Travel laundry detergent question.

Wisk (and probably some others) make individually-wrapped laundry detergent tablets. Each is sealed in its own cellophane wrapper, very convenient for travel.

What national chain stores carry these?

I have not seen them in stores in the last few months...and I was specifically looking for them two months ago. Amway actually still make them FYI.

Laundry detergent tablets have been discontinued by most manufacturers. I haven't seen them in years! I even searched online and had no luck.

That's what I thought, as it's also been years since I was able to find them. Too bad, as I found them very convenient for home use, and they would be even better on a trip.

Was there no demand for these tablets? Were they ineffective? Do we know why they discontinued these tablets?

For my last vacation I found all free and clear laundry detergent in a small bottle in the "travel size" section of Target. It was the concentrated kind and had enough for two load in a bottle smaller than a tube of toothpaste. It worked out great for us.

Well I'm glad I started this thread. Everyone is just so informative. I went with the fill a plastic bottle idea. I couldn't find travel detergent in my walmart or target that wasn't Tide. When will companies learn sensitive skin ppl have to launder clothes on vacation too. oh the inhumanity.

Persil still manufactures and sells these in Europe and elsewhere. I buy them frequently
