Hi,

A couple of weeks ago I asked this on the Sunday chat and got a list of companies howevever I can't find the piece of paper I wrote it on:mad:

I've booked my flights, accomodation and cruise all separatly and need someone that will cover these, however I also have some underlining medical issues.

Can anyone recommend a company?

It would be great if I could get a list together to be able to compare / negotiate prices.

Any help will be really appreciated
Thanks

Ive been busy looking at the weekend. :)

Ive looked at Columbus, you can do it online with pre-exisitng medical conditions. (theyre on quidco too) :thumbsup2
http://www.columbusdirectuk.co.uk

I did get a good quote from Allclear before christmas but I checked at the weekend at it had doubled-you can get a quote online too :confused3

Ive heard others have had sucess with AA/AXA/Tescos/Post office/worldwide travel/free spirit.

it really depends on the conditions and ages.

Good luck, I hope you find something suitable.xx:goodvibes

ETA-just spotted the bit about DIY travel. Not sure if any of the companies cover this too, sure someone can help.

Post office covered me last trip with a breathing condition.

Unfortunately I think it is a case of getting quotes - each condition is different and some insurers seem to increase for some conditions heavily and others may not be as bothered.

Insure and Go cover mine and my husbands pre exsisting medical conditions for little extra cost. I also had to claim with them and they were fantastic.

We do DIY and although Im not an expert by any means I am confident that we are covered.

The companys I am more than happy to reccomend are -

www.jdtravelinsurance.co.uk
www.travelbilty.co.uk

and we have in previous years got a quote from the post office although they are very picky these days what they will and wont cover and refuse to cover us now even though there was a higher risk of issues when they did cover us :confused3

Hope that helps Mrs J x

Many thanks for all your suggestions- I know what I'm doing this weekend lol!

I have used AA the last 3 years, covers DW Lupus Blood Pressure etc, and my blood pressure , with an Annual policy for about £120, had a claim 2 years ago and never had any problems

Just a follow up.

I sat today and telephoned round.

Quote 1 - £130
Quote 2 - £396 :scared1:
Quote 3 - £180
Quote 4 - £ 93.82

It pays to shop around:rolleyes1

Thanks again - it was one of the suggestions here that was the £94

For future reference we use Karma Insurance - both for our annual policy (I have asthma and this is covered as one of their included illnesses) and for relative with health conditions not covered in the standard policy.

Last time we got insurance from them for a relative they quoted over £100 cheaper than anyone else .
