Help please, but no horror stories about insurance gone wrong because I don't need that stress (I'm already stressed)!

Due to some tests I've had recently I know that my current insurance through sunlife is going to be an issue for my September travel. Does anyone have a recommendation for an insurance that will accept "stable" within 60 or 90 days instead of 180? I'm pretty much 200% positive there will be no ongoing issues it's just the technicality of having these tests that has caused the issue.

btw, I'll be 34 at time of travel if that means anything!

Yes, there are many - as long as you are eligible! Check out mediquote dot ca and call them.

THANK YOU :cool1: I will check out both!

The insurance through my work plan at Sunlife is a 9 month timeframe window. I've mentioned this to a few co-workers and no one has any clue about pre-existing conditions and how it affects insurance. Kind of alarming since I think many people make their insurance invalid this way!!!

I'm hopeful now that I won't be cancelling my vacation!!

Try RBC insurance. I think they have a shorter time frame as well and EXCELLENT insurance.

Hope you find something:thumbsup2

Yes, it would have to be stable for 90 days for RBC travel coverage as well if you are under the age of 60. They do offer some of the most comprehensive protection on the travel insurance market.

I hope all goes well with your medical tests.

Thank you! This is great info. I did find a company that was in the US that would waive the pre-existing clause but it didn't compare to the amount my current and invalid insurance would cover. This makes me feel great. I'm waiting until Monday for my results to come back and then I'll start calling around. :yay:
