Just to advise any of you planning to make room reservations using a Travel Industry/Airline Employee rate, please be aware that your reservation is now made through the WDTC. We booked at the Beach Club a few days ago and were not made aware of this change until we tried to swap to the Boardwalk today and were told that any changes would incur a $60 charge. We've booked and changed reservations many times before and never had any problems. Anyway all the usual WDTC deposits and restrictions apply so be warned. Even though you call the CRO number like we did , you will be transfered to WDTC without warning. We should have known something was up when it took 45 minutes to complete the booking.

Hi! I just want to ask you if you could actually get any Travel Industry rate, since I called about 2 weeks ago and they told me they weren't out yet. I was trying to book a room for April. Thanks!

Is it still about the same % off? As I recall it was anywhere from 40-50%.

Yes it's still the same 50% of the rack rate if it's available , although at certain times some of the codes give a better discount. Either way it can be hit or miss - I called several times the other day and each time I received different information. If the agent you're talking to seems confused or puts you on hold frequently, it's best to hang up and try again. Some of the agents are excellent and can bring up the rates instantly.

Even though I don't like the idea of the $60 fee for changes,I'm glad you let us know the rates are out.I called 2 weeks ago and the rates were not available then.I guess,I won't book until I know we are going for sure!!!!Thank you!!!:p

I'm glad to see that Disney is at least giving an Agent Discount now. When I was a Travel Agent in the early 80's, they didn't offer one.

The 2003 travel industry rates are out. We just booked POR for next November.

Maybe, it's a little more hassle, but it's worth the savings!

Oh thanks for the info. Going to make a ressie in a few days and my DH is an airline employee. I know we got a great last year for GF, 35% off.

I called everyday since we are going to be there the week of 2/13-20th until I finally got a supervisor who gave me the travel agent rate. 50% off entire package including the dream maker package with silver add on.

I did not go to the agency today but I know that my documents arrived and I told my co-worker to open it up and told me that they also had passes for special viewings of parades, fireworks, etc. I'll pick them up later and see what it is and I'll post.

First time I use the discount and staying at AKL Deluxe Savannah View.

They gave me the standard, lanyard for each personwith pin, luggage tags, unlimited admission pass, 1 choice feature, plus passes for fireworks viewing at Epco, MK, Animal Kingdom special viewing area for Mickey's Jammin' Jungle parade.

The referenced code ZGHQPB.

Hope this helps my TA friends.

I'll call them tomorrow and see if I can get the GF for April! I'll use the code if I see they are struggling finding the travel agent discounts. Last year I booked the WL and had no problem the agent immediatly set me up without any hassle. Hope this time too! Enjoy your trip! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :D

Good luck. Let me know what they say. I know I called everyday and I told the girl that I was a little worried since my trip was due for Feb. 13 and they kept telling me to call back in a couple of days.

They finally got someone on the phone, some sort of manager, who was able to do the booking.

Take care. Best of luck.
