Travel Industry Discounts - How to book?

\As for the family suites, if you have the correct number of people, i.e. more than 4, it may come up as an option on-line when booking for travel agent rates if it is available. It is hard to find availability. If it's not avaiable they will kick you over to the Cabins as the alternative.

I was told to book one room with my name and two children listed in the room and then I booked the second room listing my husband and two children. I then printed out both reservations and faxed both with my IATA card. I was afraid they would cancel the room with my husband's name since he is not an agent but they said they would link it with my room- I had also requested connecting rooms. They have been very helpful answering questions over the phone- they just can't book or check availability. Hope this helps!

Thanks, if I ever need the rooms this is how I would proceed. I wouldn't do two separate rooms with the TA in both.

I have read this entire thread and can't figure out if airline employees can book a package similar to a TAs. I called a month or so ago and was told I could not add on DDP--just NON discounted tickets. Are there discounted tickets available for airline employees? Hope someone can clarify for me! :goodvibes

Are you an airline employee? Did you book a room and get the discount? When are you going?

Depending on which airline you work for...your HR dept may have tickets available to purchase. I know that Delta does, If not, AAA has them available (if you are a member) or you would need to buy them outside of Disney for a discount. :cool1: :cool1:

Does anybody know about retirees using an Interline Co and getting the discount? Perhaps not...

Any info is appreciated. Thanks!

Prairiemom,

My mom is a USAirlines employee. I guess she would have to check with HR for discounted tickets. I just thought it was room only discount.

So for a US travel agent, how far in advance can you book? My understanding is that CRO will book standard rooms 500 days in advance. But you guys are saying US travel agents can't book through them.

I just want to book a room for June 2008 as soon as possible.

The TA discounted bookings for 2007 just became available recently. I would say you have about a 9-10 month wait to book for 2008.
