I read in a trip review that you can call Universal from your disney hotel and they will arrange transportation for you. Does anyone know if this is true....I can't find info for this anywhere? Does anyone know the fastest but not too expensive way to travel from the two parks?

You can probably call Mears or a limo but Universal doesn't provide this service.

in Universal vacations they offer:

ROUND TRIP WALT DISNEY WORLD® SHUTTLE FROM HOTEL^

Provided by Mears Transportation of Orlando.

$16.00 each

:dance3:

surely that would be from a universal hotel to disney and back rather than from a disney hotel to universal and back again? or would I be wrong?

So, you can arrange from your Universal hotel or universal partner hotel and back again. That's a good idea for them to add that.

but isn't the OP staying at a Disney hotel?

yes, We're staying at a disney hotel and want to go to Universal.
Hi we were just at POR for 2 weeks in may. we used mears twice to go to universal. just call them the night before, let them know what time you want picking up and they will send either a shuttle or a taxi. you pay for a round trip ( $16 ) and call them at least 90 mins before you want to return to arrange pickup time - i think this was every hour from 3:20 onwards.

hope this helps

Is this $16 per person? Do they come to your resort to pick up your party, or do you need to go to the transportation center?

yes, that's per person. i think a taxi round trip would have been $65-$70
sorry didnt see the second half of the message - they pick you up at the resort entrance. both times we went to universal we had a taxi to ourselves on the way there and shuttle on the way back.

we looked at the costs and now with my broken big toe still healing we are renting a car for our US/IOA and SW days.
it will be easier on me. on my Ak day, i can take the dis bus.
