Travel from CBR to Universal

We are planning on staying at CBR, but would like to visit Universal 1 or 2 days during our stay. What is the best way to travel from CBR to Universal and how long would it take?

Depending how many of you there are, I think the least expensive and most convenient way would be to rent a car for a day (or two).

A couple of years ago we stayed there and took the Mears shuttle to Universal. We are planning on doing that for Seaworld this year. I think the price is $16PP. You could also get a cab. Not sure on the charge.

I forgot to mention that I would rather not rent a car. My husband and I drive everyday for work, so it is a real treat not to have to drive on vacation. Does anyone know what route I could take (i.e, where I would transfer and pick up) the Linx bus? Are they a safe alternative and reliable? There are 4 people traveling in my party.

i'd recommend the lynx for sea world, but not for universal. for starters, it includes a transfer which can add significant time. the orlando public transit system is really primarily for the locals

We're using two days to visit Universal and Islands, staying at CBR. I've reserved with Mears for van shuttle transportation @ $16 pp roundtrip. This was more cost effective than a taxi. For the three of us the shuttle was under $100. A taxi two days would have been about $20 more.
