Travel Docs Help for Grandfather traveling with Grand Daughter

We have a big family cruise coming up in Dec on the Dream.

My MIL just remarried and her husband is bringing along his 14 year old grand daughter without with parents. I feel like there is a document(s) that needs to be completed in order for this to be ok.

Or maybe I'm thinking of something else. I've never done it but I want to be sure there aren't any hiccups in travel arrangements since we are traveling with a big group for our Dec cruise.

Birth cert and a letter from the parents stating that it's okay for them to travel with those people.

And a minor debarkation form to allow her to leave the Ship with other adults than the one staying in the same stateroom. This must be filed with guest services once on board.

There is a minor authorization form on the DCL website. US Customs and Border Control also recommends a notarized letter from the parents stating that the child has permission to leave the country with the adult she's traveling with. That letter is not required, just recommended, but I always fall into the "better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it" camp on this one.
