What is your favorite thing to do on arrival day? Go straight to a park, spend the day exploring or Disney Springs?

It depends on what time we arrive. Usually we just like to hang by the pool til our room is ready, so we can unpack and settle in. Sometimes we’ll go to a park in the evening.

I make FP+ reservations but keep it flexible. We generally fly in early in the AM and grab breakfast at the resort. Then pool time or a nap -something relaxing- and parks in the evening if we aren't tired.

We always take the same flight from NY to MCO and arrive at the resort around 2 pm. Tradition is EP on our first day, so we do 3 FP+ there, have dinner and watch Illuminations. I would always do a park on the first day unless we were arriving really late.

We take ME to our resort and then go to MK. We always take early morning flights. Next trip we land at 8:25 am. We might stop into POFQ food court and get a mickey waffle if we get there in time. Then right to MK.

It's a tradition now for us to do FoF, but I also love going to Disney Springs the first night. Nice way to ease in.

If we fly from home (west coast) we don’t land until 5:00. So by ther time we get to Resort it’s past 6:00 so we just get unpacked and settle in room. Grab dinner at Resort. If I’m already in Florida having beach vacay before WDW we will drive up early morning and go to a park.

We drive down and arrive anywhere from 1 pm to 5 pm, just depending on when we leave and how often we stop. We have always gone to a park when we arrive. We check in, park the car, if the room is ready we take our luggage in, if not we either leave it in the car or store it with bell services. Then we hop on the first bus to arrive and head to a park.

I think we're due to arrive at our resort (poly) around noon (10am arrival at MCO - taking the magic express). I'm hoping we can spend some time hanging out at the pool before heading over to Saana for an early dinner reservation.

First day tradition is to head to Epcot. However we have a late flight for December so we'll have to break the tradition this time. We'll most likely head to DS for dinner and to look around then go to bed.

We take a red eye from the West Coast so we land very early, it all depends on the trip and how much sleep we got on the plane. If we slept well then we are heading off to Epcot. If we didn't, then you may find us napping in the pool loungers if our room isn't ready yet. We almost always hit a park on our first day, and it is usually Epcot. I don't think we have ever done DS on our first day, but I am trying to hit some new-to-us restaurants there, so I need to start planning in more DS time.

I will add we don't do DS at all. To us it's just a big outdoor shopping mall with restaurants and we have tons of that where I live including high end stores and fabulous restaurants.

It depends on what time we arrive. If we have an early morning flight and get to the resort around 11:30 we usually grab something to eat and maybe take a quick swim. If we can get into our room that is great, if not no big deal. Then we head into a park around 3 and hang there until we are tired enough to go back.

If we take an afternoon flight and get in later in the afternoon or early evening we usually just hang at the resort and swim and get to bed early to hit the ground running the next day.

Always resort exploration, pool time if we come in early enough, a nice lunch and/or leisurely dinner and Disney Springs. I never hit the parks if I'm traveling with family or friends because I usually get the least amount of tickets necessary for full days in the park and I'm the only one with and AP. If it's me alone I may FP a few rides and then do all the stuff I stated above.

This trip I’m doing things a little different on arrival day. I’m getting in at 9 in the morning and I decided instead of getting a park ticket for the day I’d spend my first day at the Poly! So I booked it for one night and will just lounge around all day there! Finish it off with a trip to Trader Sam’s, stumble home to my room, and then the next day have a nice Tonga toast for breakfast and take a monorail to MK! Perfect 24 hours in Disney World IMO.

We take an early flight in, check in and explore, and take a quick nap. Then we head to Disney Springs for shopping and dinner! We hardly ever go to the parks on our arrival day.
