Hey guys
We are planning our Disney holiday and was wondering if anyone in the Orlando area can tell me roughly how much to budget for purchasing a baby travel cot, possibly from Walmart,,,,?
Thanks in advance, wee nemo, Scotland x

I've looked up buying a Pack N Play and a mattress from Walmart and they look to be around $40 ish for the PNP and around $40 ish for the mattress. We're going in May for 17 nights and the rental on a PNP was WAY too high, especially when you wont even know the condition until you get there. We're going to buy one and then I was going to post here that I had one that I had to leave behind (we're in Ireland so no way we'd be able to get it home) and pay it forward if you know what I mean :) Someone might as well benefit!

Is this for villa holidays? Thank you

We do villa holidays and you can request a travel cot from the villa owner or management company at no extra cost usually. Every villa we have been in has had one.

How old is your little one? You can probably get a pack n play for around $50 or more of an actual cot type bed (for toddlers) for about $25.

If you decide on a travel cot I bought one for my daughter through Walmart. It was good quality and she really liked it. It folds up and fits in a bag that looks like a camping chair. We took it with us when we traveled to a hotel and she used it at grandmas for naps. I think it was around $30.

Thanks for the replies everyone. My baby is 16 weeks old but will be around 9 months when we go. We booked through Thomsons and they were wanting $5 a day for a cot to be put in the villa! I'm thinking there will be one there anyway,,, can't see the owner taking one out kinda thing,,,

This is a great idea!!!

For anybody with a toddler or child that can sleep in a toddler bed- BRU rentals has a travel toddler bed for $18/wk. I am considering it for when I go!

I have a stroller reserved w/ them, the online reservation system quoted me $42/wk. when I called they gave me a rate of $30/wk!

We have an AeroBed Sleep Tight Bed. It costs $77 on Amazon US; possibly cheaper elsewhere. This works well and is easily transported you can take it home and reuse), and comes with an electric air pump.

OP,,,,,you might,,,,want to replace your keyboard,,,,,your comma key appears,,,to be sticking,,,,

Lost in cyberspace-keyboard??? Who uses them these days???? Oh there's my ? Sticking now :)

I would buy the $40 Pack n Play if I had a 9 month old, only if it is not available at wherever you are staying. They are readily available at any Disney property. You don't need to buy a mattress separately. A mattress would not even fit in a pack n play. If you want extra cushioning I would just fold up sheets or blankets and put them under the sheet.
