Do any of you have a travel bed that you can recommend (or any other ideas)? My DD is too big for the pack and play but too small to sleep in a bed all by herself. She could sleep with us, but we have never done that so I don't know how well that would go over LOL. I'm just looking for options for our upcoming trip. Thanks!

Have you given any thought to renting from one of the baby equiptment places in the area. We used A Baby's Best Friend 2 years ago to reant a stroller. They also have full-size cribs and toddler beds that you can rent. The stroller we got was very clean and in great condition. Here's the link to their site. http://www.abbf.com/index.html

We sometimes use aerobeds for children that are similar to the one posted above from onestepahead. They came with mattress covers. I bought them a few years ago - think at amazon.

What does your DD sleep in at home? If she's used to a crib, there are places that will rent full-size cribs. Also, the Disney resorts have bedrails. You could always use these on the regular bed and see how she does.

When my DS was almost 3, we stayed at OKW. I requested bedrails for the bed, but he asked to sleep in the PnP. He slept in a bed at home, so I don't know why he wanted the PnP, but that's what he wanted. :confused3 So he slept in the PnP and we all slept great all week.

We have recently bought a "ready bed" for our nearly 2 dd as she really was too big for the hotel crib on our recent holiday. They are a blow up air bed with a selection of different characters on them. They are light to travel with in your luggage. You can get them in "junior" - age 3 or 4 and up and in "my first" age 2 and up styles.

Personally I wouldn't have my dd sleep in the same bed as she has always slept in her own bed in her own room from day one and I would be worried that it may cause problems back at home after the holiday (getting her happy in her own room again).

This past trip my DD3 used an inflatable ready bed. It was perfect. I put it on the floor between our bed and the wall. She felt "secure" and she loved it. It was very easy to set up and inflated quickly. I did purchase the battery operated air pump and it was very easy. She loves it. No complaints and she slept very soundly in it. It wasn't noisey when she rolled around either. The cover can be unzipped and is maching washable too. I give it an A+!

Check out the website here. http://www.readybed.com/ We bought the 3+ age model.

Good luck.

We stayed at POR and requested an Alligator Bayou room so our 2yo could use the trundle bed. It worked out perfectly!
