Travel agent response time

I contacted a travel agent that specializes in Agency exclusive rates for a trip are over a year out but we will need at least 3 rooms so I have to get started. It’s been a week and I haven’t heard anything. Does anyone else have experience with this? Are they just ignoring me because they don’t know rates out that far?

Even if they don’t have agency exclusive rates that far out (probably have all of 2018 since I booked Nov) but it shouldn’t take a week. I usually hear back within 24hrs, 48 at the most. I would put in the request again for a quote.

The first time I requested a quote I got no reply, but was added to the special rate email list. I read a review of that agency on the touring plans blog closer to our trip and requested a quote again and was contacted within 48 hrs by email.

That agency has been having problems with their website. Email an agent directly if you don't get a response from the form on the website.

I usually email an agent directly. Some are better than others about time frames. I found one I like and stick with her. Use initial response times as an indicator of future response times.

And don't be afraid to change agents if you don't like your first experience. I was hesitant to do it but there have been zero issues since.

I have used hem a few times and now just email an agent directly.

There is a post on their FB page today that they are having problems with their e-mail service. They suggested FB message or call by phone.

...as others have said,email an agent directly off their profile page.I have and response times were within 12 hours on initial contact and usually within 8 hours or less on follow ups.
edit:they list their phone numbers also,a phone call should yield results.

See, the only time I have had an issue was when I did e-mail an agent directly. I finally called and found out she was escorting a 10 day cruise and out of the office.
So I would suggest a call to the main Travel Agency number if you don't hear back in a day or two.

Thanks everyone. I contacted through Facebook messenger and heard back in 2 minutes. They don’t have dates that far out yet but will let me know when they do.
