We are booked on our fourth cruise aboard the Magic in March. We utilized the "on-board" booking last spring to take advantage of the savings and, well, (who am I kidding?) to keep the "holiday feeling" going!
Last year I have booked our cruise on my own initially and then changed it over to a local TA who we have used in the past. As the time is fast approaching to switch to a TA I was wondering the pros and cons.
If we should book with an agent we are wondering with whom to book; we have used one previously who is with a large company but I also have a friend who has recently (over the last few years) become a "work from home" agent. I would love to give her our business but am nervous going with someone new to this. I'm unsure what advantages are in going with an agent at all.
We book airfare ourselves as we can usually use points. We do like to pre-pay our gratuities (the bulk of it anyway).
Anyone have any suggestions or comments??
