Travel agent ADRs

Has anyone encountered problems being able to make their own ADR(s) if a travel agent is unable to secure your request immediately but a time comes up later? I've heard of some difficulty people have had working on their reservations on their own once a TA has "control" although I can't recall if this was tied to the resort changes or to ADRs.

I haven't had any problems. We used a TA in 09. She booked our ADRs initially, and I was able to change any of the ones I wanted to. This time I've booked all of mine myself, and I had no problem linking it to our room.

If I want any rooms changes done though, I have to go through her. Which is fine with me. I can email her at 1 AM, and she'll take care of it during the day while I'm in class.

ADRs do not have to be linked to a reservation, so you are free to make ADRs on your own.

i've always booked thru a TA but have always made my own ressies for restaurants. I cant imagine having her book all my ressies for me. There are so many to choose from, it would be so much easier if i just did it myself. And i did! Always.
