Trash & Towel vs Full Cleaning

Hi Gang,
We are staying at BCV in a 1 bedroom. We are do for a T&T but want to change that to a full cleaning on the same day. Do we have to pay for the full cleaning service or has anyone heard of them crediting the T&T so the charge is only $20.00 for full service. Thanks for any help with this.

I'm not aware of any rate quoted for T&T service, so I'm not even sure how much they would "credit" for you. My gut feeling for this is that you would just have to pay the full cleaning fee.

If so, you might ask them to move your T&T to another day if you will be there long enough to warrant that.

We were just at OKW in a 2BR and inquired on the same thing. They told us that it would be $40 for the full cleaning with no credit for the T&T. (Not sure on the amount on a 1BR)

Hi, Donald Duck 57. Last trip we also upgraded the T&T to a full cleaning and they did give us a credit. I can't remember how much, but I'm sure it was something. This was at VWL, but I would think it should be the same.

We're in the process of considering whether or not to get DVC. Can you explain to me about the housekeeping? Does this mean there is no housekeeping? Are these charges per day? Thanks!

DVC is a timeshare, and most timeshares have no housekeeping. We prefer it that way. It means we don't have to worry about someone "roaming around our home" when we aren't there. They give you plenty of towels, and you have an in room laundry, so you can always wash them if you need cleans ones more frequently. Because timeshares are set up for stays of at least a week, there is a trash and towel service on day 4 and a full cleaning on day 8. We have sometimes requested that they switch those around, and have had no problems. doing that. I would NEVER pay for additional housekeeping. I would actually prefer they not come in at all, but on our 10-12 night stays, I DO like the full cleaning in the middle.
