Trash/towel question

We'll be at SSR for 6 nights in October, and although it's two separate ressies, we'll (hopefully) remain in the same villa. We are spending the first 2 nights in a 2BR lockoff, then my folks will leave and we are staying on an additional 4 nights in a 1BR. We have requested to remain in the same 1BR unit. But on our letter, it states that T/T service will be on the next to last day of our 6 night stay, since that reservation is actually for 4 nights (am I making sense?).
Can we request that T/T be moved up a day or two? I'm assuming that if we stay in the same villa, that we won't get clean towels at that point.

You can certainly make that request. You really have two separate reservations - 2 nights in a 2BR and then 4 nights in the 1BR- and will not be entitled to housekeeping during the first two nights. I'd expect that they would be willing to move the TT for the 1BR ahead a couple of days without issue though. Technically, you're entitled to a full clean for the 1BR on the "arrival" day for that reservation- however, they'd be correct in insisting you vacate the room from 11am-4pm for that- so I don't think that would be worth the risk (they can also just assign a different room and force you to move anyway).

We have done this on several occasions with success- starting with a 2BR and remaining in the same 1BR for the duration of our stay and have been able to move up the TT day- so I know it can be done.

I'd make the request once you know you won't have to move (they may be willing/able to confirm that at check-in). I'm sure you'll have no problem!

You can always request towel service at any time. I think they may charge a nominal fee for it. Since you technically have 2 stays, I think they would accomodate you at no charge. But, I've never done this, so I may just be wishing!

If you are concerned about having clean towels, remember that you'll have a washer/dryer in the one bedroom. It really is an easy matter to do laundry. Start it when you leave to go to the parks or the pool and put it in the dryer when you return. Taking the trash is also easy. There are extra bags in the trash cans in the room and there are places to place bags of trash around the resort.

Give it a shot. The worst thing they can say is no, then you do your own towels in the washer/dryer.

Your two reservations will actually be treated as one continuing reservation with a trash and towel service on the 4th day of that reservation. You can change the day of that TT service at check-in or by calling housekeeping durring your stay.

Speaking of Trash/Towel day. Just how does it exactly work. On our last(and our first) trip we left on T/T day. When we exited our room that morning new sheets and towels were outside our door. Were they being pre-staged for housekeeping later or were we suppose to take them in and put the dirty one outside? Do they come in during the day and exchange the dirty for clean?? On our next trip we will be staying longer and did not want to do something wrong...smjj

They were pre-staged for houeskeeping.T/T would not have provided new sheets- only towels/washcloths. T/T is always scheduled for the 4th day (count arrival day as day #1). If you are staying three nights or less, you will not get T/T without an additional charge. Stays of 4-7 nights will provide T/T on day 4 - unless you arrange for a different day.

Stays of 8 - 11 nights will have a full cleaning on day 4 (unless different arrangements are requested by the guests) and a T/T on day 8. The full clean will provide new sheets and vacuuming as well as clean towels and replacment of soaps and other supplies.

Since you are not guaranteed the same 1 bedroom from the 2 bedroom, your second reservation is actually a new reservation. You should get a clean room that day. Your fourth day of the reservation would be trash and towels.
