Trash the Dress Wedding Shoot?

I'm trashing my dress in January. I'm not sure what exactly we're doing and I'm leaving the creative ideas to my photographer. All I know for now is that the photographer asked me if I had pink converse - and yes! I sure do!!! So, I'm doing it in about a month... I'll make sure to post my pics when I get them.

I can't wait to see your pics!!!!

I have to say, I think that's so funny (not what you're doing, but about the pink converse's) I have a pair of pink converse high-tops I got about 10 years ago, before they were "cool". DF saw them in my closet the other day, and asked "What are those for, you ever wear them?" :rotfl2: I knew I was saving them for a reason...never know when they'll come in handy!

As a mom, who has to pinch pennies, I feel compelled to say, I think I'd check with my parents first, if they paid for the dress. I know it's a gift, and belongs to the bride, but I'd :faint: if my daughter (thankfully, I don't have one of those :goodvibes I'll stick with boys!) ruined a dress I paid thousands for. :scared1: I'd probably ask for it back, and sell it on ebay first. :rotfl2:

Just food for thought!

That being said.....I've seen some really neat Trash the Dress pictures! If I had a formal wedding dress, it'd be something I'd consider myself.

Actually, I know I'm not going to seriously trash it.. just a bit of dirt maybe.. dunno - but that being said, I've done my homework!

I went to the dry cleaners, showed them my dress and they said water is fine and dirt is fine, just don't soak it in mud. So, they already know. After the photo session, I'm going to have them clean it and the dress is going on ebay :) Yeah, my parents paid for it and I did ask my mom what she thought. She thought that as long as its artistic, why the heck not since I'll never wear it again - and of course, since I made sure to ask they cleaners what I can and can't do with the dress.

Awesome Tracy!!!!!!! Can't wait to see the pics and the pink shoes is just going to be adorable :)

I trashed my dress (with my bridesmaids in their dress) at the Animal Kingdom Lodge pool. I had so much fun! Here are some of my favorites.

Wow Catherine! Those pictures look amazing! I love the pics on the slide!

Aww Catherine I LOVE those pics!!!! That makes me want to trash my dress!! :cool1:

OMg so cute. The one of you both going down the slide is adorable.

Thanks girls! For those of you thinking about doing it, got for it! It was a lot of fun.

My dress is totally fine. I got it cleaned a few days later and it looks as good as new! :thumbsup2

Catherine your pictures look soo good!! Did anyone say anything when you guys were going down the slide and all?!

Tricia - nope. Actually the lifeguards were the ones that opened it for us. The slide doesn't open until 10:00am (were there around 8:30) and one of my bridesmaids asked if we could go on it. The lifeguard said she would open it for us and after we did our shots, they closed it back up.

They were really nice about it and were just having fun watching us look crazy!
