Trash questions....

I looked around but couldn't find any information on trash and how it's handled at the Fort, so I have a question or two.

Basically, I'm wondering what you do with your trash bag from your camper - are there big cans or dumpsters around where you can deposit it daily? Does Disney come around and collect it? (which is what they do at Hershey's Highmeadow Campground.) What are my options so that I don't need to deal with a stinky bag of trash in the camper?

Also, what do you all use for your trash? We have this wooden frame that goes together and you can clip a trash bag in it, but it's not covered in any way. I don't like that it's open - like an invitation to every bug and scavenger out there! Plus, it's always in the way!

The problem with getting something with a lid is that I have no clue where to put it - inside the camper would take up a lot of our limited floor space. Outside, even with a lid, seems like an invitation for unwanted visitors.

There are trash cans on every other site to place your trash in. They come by several times a day to collect it. There are also recycle bins.

We have a trash can inside with a lid we empty once or twice a day. At The Fort we just place any trash from outside directly in the trash can / recycle bins provided.

FYI - it appears that the opening on trash can lids is rather small - BUT - the top removes quite easily for larger bags. No need to leave the bag on the ground as some folks do ! This campground really does things right.
