Well here I am less than 24 hours home, neglecting the laundry, cleaning & unpacking that I should be doing to start a trip report! DH keeps asking if I'm going for groceries....HEL-LO can't you see I'm working here?!?!?!? ;)

Another Disney Ladies trip has been completed - and it's so special because we all met here on the DIS! We met over on The Community Board on an old thread called something like "Hello I'm from PA" or something like that...this was a few years ago. We started meeting up in WDW when we'd travel there with our families at the same time, then we finally said what the heck - let's just GO together!!!

The cast of characters:

Myself, TaraPA
Linda, PrincessAlways
Terri, MineChuchie
Carol, HakMat
and Mystery Person #1 LOL - she wishes to remain anonymous - but she's a DIS-er through & through - we're going to call her Duck!

This trip we were missing our friend Deb (TiggerFan4Me - or something like that - sorry Deb it's been so long since I've seen you on the DIS I forgot your DIS name!) But she was there in spirit & will hopefully be coming along in March (yes, we're already planning 2011!)

OH CRUD - time for the kids' Halloween parade at school & here I am putzing away on The DIS.....ok back to reality....LOTS of pics to come....ladies - PLEASE add yours too! Oh wait, 3 of the ladies are still at WDW, coming home later today. Lucky Ducks!

Reality keeps interfering with my time to write this trip report!

I'm starting the report with Sunday night since that's when I arrived. Duck had been there a week already at AKL Jambo House in a studio, Linda & Carol had arrived on Saturday. They spent Sat. night at POP & then transferred over to AKL Kidani Village. They spent the day at US, which they ended early because it was stinking hot & the lines were long. Terri had arrived Sunday afternoon. We're all from PA but flew in from 3 different airports.

I'm not a fan of ME, an this trip didn't make me change my mind. I usually take short trips, so time is priceless to me - I'd rather pay $60 for a cab to get me there ASAP than deal with ME for free. But I thought I'd give ME another shot. My ME bus had FIVE stops, and of course, Kidani was the last one. I landed at 8:30pm, was checked into ME & waiting for my bus at 8:45pm. I waited in the queue line for 15 min. and then it took 90 min. to make all the other stops. I didn't arrive at Kidani til 10:35! I know it's free, but I could have gained more than an hour by getting a cab. Oh well, live & learn. My ME driver, Jose Gonzalez, was great though. He told us facts & played trivia with us when the videos weren't playing. He did say there are TWO new Disney Resorts in progress - I know about Animation - what's the other one??

Arrived at Kidani Village & checked in to our 1BR villa. It was gorgeous!!!

Thsi was our view - we just had a standard view room but it wasn't bad at all. We overlooked the lobby entrance & Disney transportation bus stops. Here are Terri, Carol & Linda:

Here's Terri trying out my bed - the pull-out chair/bed. She's tall so she wanted to see how it would work for her. I thought it was very comfortable - and the room didn't feel crowded when the pull-out chair and the sofa bed were out at the same time. We were 4 adults & the villa was more than spacious enough for all of us. We stayed at BLT in a 2BR villa last year & this was just as large as that one (minus the 2nd BR).

Sounds like a fun trip! I like the idea!

Hey Tara!! I'm here!!!
As Tara said, Carol & I arrived Sat night & stayed at ASMU. On Sunday, we headed out to US to see Harry Potter. I'll post pics for that part of the trip as soon as I load them.

Hi Linda! Yes please do post your HP/US pics!!!!

The next morning we woke up bright & early for our ADR at Boma at 8am. I had only ever eaten dinner here, so I thought it might be fun to try breakfast. It was already very warm & humid - as it was to be all week. Central FL broke the high temp record one day we were there & tied it 2 other days - all I can say is it was HOT!! We were joined by Duck's friend Teresa (also on the DIS but I can't remember her DIS name!). Boma had a lot to offer for breakfast - Duck even convinced me there were scrambled goat eggs - it took me awhile to go "hey - goats don't lay eggs!" - and they didn't let me forget that the entire trip!

Then we were off to AK!

We headed right to Kilimanjaro Safari - we got the last row of the bus & MAN it was bumpy! I don't remember the last deat ever being that rough, or else maybe I never rode in the back before! We were off the seat once or twice! I'd say this safari was mediocre compared to some others I had been on. You just never know what will be out.

After that we split up - some headed to Asia while some did the Pangani Forest Trail. I LOVE this walking trail. The gorillas are incredible to watch, and as usual, there was some fighting going on between the males.

We all met up for Finding Nemo. Duck's friend Ken (also on the DIS) met up with us at this point. This is such a great show. Last year was the first time I had seen this, and I wasn't sure "human puppets" would keep me entertained. Boy was I wrong! This is by far the best musical show I've ever seen at WDW. The actors & actresses are so talented, and the costumes & props are gorgeous. I don't have any pics because I couldn't figure out how to turn the flash off on my camera!

After Nemo the whole group headed to EE - one of my favorite rides in WDW. Terri, Linda, Duck & myself rode while the rest waited. We rode Single Rider which had no wait so we went on again...and again....

I love this view of CSR, Swan & Dolphin as you go up the big hill on EE:

By this time we were all so hot & getting hungry. We headed to Dinoland & had lunch at Restarauntosaurus. I hadn't been in here since McDonald's pulled out. The decor is still the same inside, with CS offerings of hamburgers, hot dogs, salads & sandwiches. Carol & I split a bacon cheeseburger that we both thought was very good for CS.

Off to Dinosaur we went! This is another one of my favorite rides in WDW.
