Transportation??

HeLLoo Everyone I am new to the DIS and i am planning my first trip to the HRH for next summer. I was wondering, How is the transportation from the hotel to the parks? Is there usually a long wait for the bus or water taxis? Would anyone reccomend renting a car instead of taking complimentary transportation?

Hi there, we too are staying at the Hard Rock Hotel for the first time this summer, but have visited the Universal parks many times in the past. All three onsite hotels are within a few minutes walking distance of both Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure, so you won't need a car to reach them. However, if you plan on visiting any of the other theme parks in the area I would advise you to consider hiring a car for a few days.
We had a look around the HR Hotel last Feb and it looks fantastic. Have a really great time!!

OoO WoW. I didn't realize that the parks were so close to the hotel. I was reading up about the hotel and it mentioned the water taxi and bus, so i assumed it was not that close. Well thank you for relieving me of some stress I hope you enjoy your stay at the HRH. I would love to hear all about it when you get back
