This is our first time to Disney :yay: , so I was wondering if anyone could help me out..... I have a few questions about getting around in Disney. We are staying at All-Star movies, and we will have our own car when needed. I was wondering can you park at any resort when you stay at Disney- like to eat at a diiferent resort and then go to one of the parks? Via disney transportation? We want to take our 3 yr old DS on the monarail because he would be sooo thrilled to go on it! The buses probably just go straight to the parks right? No stoping along the way? And what is the TTC? I keep seeming postings with this in it and can't figure it out. Want to go to the Beach Club resort to go to the Beaches and Creams resteraunt. Can we take a boat to a park from a resort with this transportation if we eat there and then want to go to the park? And my final question for now... Is it true that as a disney resort guest you can park at any of the parks for free?

Thanks for any help that you can provide! Lisa :thumbsup2

If you are staying at the AS, you can certainly park at a resort to take a look at it. And if you're eating there, you're are certainly welcome to park there. Often there is a time limit to parking but we have had occasions where we have parked at the resort, had dinner (or breakfast) then taken the monorail to the park, leaving the car there all day. We are AP holders so we don't pay for parking anyway. In order to get the monorail, you would have to be at the Contemporary, Poly or GF.

The TTC is the Transportation and Ticker Center. It is the hub at which you park when you are heading to the MK or where you change monorails for EPCOT.

If you are interested in heading to the BC to go to Beaches and Cream, you would need to exit the International Gateway entrance from EPCOT, then you could either walk or take the Friendship launch boat to BC. Or you could do the same from MGM.

As a resort guest, you can park at the other resorts for free (except the Swan/Dolphin I think) but if it is a busy time of year, I think they have the right to refuse parking to all but their hotel guests.

You can use any or all of the Disney transportation available (busses, boats and monorail). You can get on the monorail at the MK and ride it around to the resorts and check them out. You can take the monorail to EPCOT. You can take busses from your resort to any of the parks. But you will not be able to take busses from your resort to other resorts. You would have to take a bus to either the MK or other park and switch to a bus to another resort, or take a bus to Downtown Disney and switch to another bus.

Hope this helps.
