I'm going to be going to Universal Studios but don't have a rental car from the airport. I've been debating on using the Metro to get there but from looking at the route I would have to leave DL at 5:32 and will get to Universal at 8:02. Being on the bus and subway for 2.5 hours I don't know if I want to do that. How else is there to get to Universal from DL? I can get a rental from Budget for $64.00 for 2 days. I'm now leaning toward the rental.

If you click on tickets on Universal's site, there is an option to buy a ticket that has bus service from Anaheim area hotels to Universal and back. I think it was around $105 or something.

Getawaytoday.com offers transfortation from the Anaheim/Buena Park area for $33 each. You just click on tickets & then click transportation & it has options there.

Traveling alone? Then the car rental will be more expensive than public
transportation and slightly cheaper than the several private options available.
Traveling with others? Then the rental car will be much cheaper.

I take the Amtrak/MetroLink/Red Line both ways often and I really enjoy the
ride. The trip to Universal will cost about $11.00 and take about 1.5 hours - all
rail, no bus. For the return trip you’ll need to take Amtrak so the trip will cost
about $17.00. So round trip (with ART) will be around $34 per person.
