How early can I get from the BCV to MK on a non-EE day? I'm supposed to meet the rest of my party there at 8:15 for character breakfast at CRT. Isn't there a character breakfast bus? Even if there is, I don't know if I can use it-the reservations aren't in my name (some one I met through the boards) and I don't know the reservation number. I've never taken a taxi before-is that an option? Gotta be there by 8:15 at the latest, don't want to make Cinderella wait!

Busses to the Magic Kingdom begin running at 7:00, according to Tyler who worked for Disney Transportation until he started working at Pop Century. Don't worry about under whose name the reservation is. It doesn't matter for bus riding purposes.

Just be careful where you meet the rest of your group. If they're not staying at a Disney resort, they'll have to go the Ticket and Transportation Center, whereas the bus will drop YOU off right at the Magic Kingdom gates.

Enjoy!

We also have Early PS at CRT and will be at BCV. Would it be easier faster to board Disney transportation or drive to the ttc and catch the monorail?

I think the fastest route would be to use a bus from your resort.

If you drive to the ttc, you have to use the resort monorail loop. You can't take the express, because it's not running. The resort loop takes quite a bit of time, as I understand it, but you'd have to speak to someone with more experience.

Hey, caseylouandtyler2, that's where I'm going to be coming from-BCV. Hope the bus isn't late-I've never been to CRT and don't want to miss it!

simbas mom,
CRT is great IMHO, just for the reaction on my DD face when she talks to the princesses. I'm a little worried about the busses too. That's why I was thinking about driving to the TTC. I guess I'll ask about it when I check in to find out which is best. Enjoy your breakfast!

The fastest and most "in control" option is probably a cab. $15 should cover cab fare from BCV to the CR, and from there you can easily walk to the MK You don't need to worry about the bus being late or full, or taking a cab to the TTC and having to wait around for the resort monorail.

To take a taxi, step outside the BC. There should be one waiting somewhere near the bell services station. If there isn't, talk to the bell staff and they will call one that will take no longer than five minutes to arrive.

You get in the back of the cab, the cab driver drives, at the end of the trip he tells you how much, you pay. Its always a good idea with a cab driver to carry your own change - a lot of cab drivers like to "assume" that the twenty you hand them includes a $5 tip. To keep the dirty looks of being so impolite to ask for change, I try and carry ones, fives and tens for cab fare.

Thanks so much! That's exactly the kind of description I needed. Ane going to CR is a great idea, wouldn't have thought of that. Than I just walk over to MK.

There was a thread recently where someone suggested asking at the start of the trip what the approximate fare would be. If it sounds high, don't get in the cab and take another cab.

Some drivers will drive the long way around to increase the fare. Asking the approximate fare before the trip (and knowing the approximate fare) should keep this risk down to a minimum. If you suspect your driver is taking you for a "ride" get his name and cab number and report him.

We just got back from DW on Friday, Nov. 14. We had reservations for CRT on Wed., Nov. 12 (a non-EMH day) at 8:10 a.m. We stayed at the BWV and were told to be at the bus stop at 7:00 a.m. to catch the first bus. The bus arrived about 7:15 a.m. and we made it to the front of the MK by 7:30 a.m. It was GREAT (except now we had to keep our DS and DD occupied for 30 minutes). That turned out not to be too difficult, as one of the CM's came to the front around 7:40 and started telling jokes until the gates opened at 8:00 a.m. We then walked straight to the castle and were seated immediately. The breakfast was WONDERFUL!! I highly recommend it and it is well worth every penny that you pay! My children loved seeing the princesses and Aladdin and the food was good. We were through and out the door by 8:50 a.m. We stood right by the exit by the doorway for the rope drop and were the first ones on Dumbo. (The only downside is that you cannot rent a stroller when you enter the park at 8:00 a.m. on a non-EMH day. So, my husband ran back down Main Street (which can be difficult with everyone else entering the park) and rented the stroller and then met us in Fantasyland. We rode Dumbo, Peter Pan, Snow White, watched Mickey's Philharmagic, Its a Small World, (Pooh was not working that morning), and the tea cups all by 9:30 with no lines. It was GREAT! We were out of Fantasy Land by 10:15. I hope you enjoy your breakfast!!!
