Is there bus or trolley transportation available to Gaylord Palms from Down Town Disney or from the I-drive or 192 area? I am assuming you must be a guest to use their shuttle service and we will not be staying there but would like to visit there.

You could call the hotel and ask.
You could check golynx.com to see if there are any buses..
You could take a taxi from DHS, Epcot, Animal Kingdom, or any resort in those areas.

I would take a taxi. If you want to minimize cost, take a WDW bus to AoA or Pop, and cab from there to Gaylord Palms. It's just on the other side of I-4 on Osceola Pkwy, probably 5-10 mins away (depending on the two traffic lights on the way).

My two cents, Steve. :cool1:

I attended a convention there while staying at Pop Century. We picked that as the closest resort in our price range. Art of Animation is a tad closer saving up to a dollar depending.

Ride was short and while I don't remember the precise cost each way, it was around $10.

So to minimize your cab costs, if you can get to AOA and pick up a cab there, it may be the cheapest fair. Certainly in the return, just have then drop you off there, then bus to DTD to catch a bus to your final on property destination. For us, on Memorial Day weekend--a cab happened to always be waiting at Pop.

FYI--cabs from DTD will cause your fare to go high because of the traffic. Avoid that at ALL costs. Parks are farther and the distance will add cost. But on the flip side, the time saved from not heading to AOA via busses may be worth it.

Another FYI-Gaylord will call you a cab if you ask but none are waiting. They do have town car service readily available...I think it was an extra $2-$5, but I don't remember exactly. One day, I was so tired that we took it and the extra few bucks was worth it.
