DisneyWorld has the Magical Express to take guests to and from the airport. Does DisneyLand have anything like this? What other options are out there?
Any suggestions would be great, including options to stay at a non-Disney hotel. We are planning our first trip to DisneyLand and not sure about all the details or where to stay. We have enjoyed a few recent trips to Disney World and always stayed at the value resorts and used Disney transportation.

Thanks.

Hi,

I was at the Hilton anaheim two weeks ago and booked the Super shuttle ( desk at the hotel) back to LAX.

Took about 70mins ( other pax dropped off at Long Beach) for $18 o/w.

No reservations required at LAX.

When we went there last, we just walked outside the airport and found a shuttle. We didn't book it ahead of time. I can't remember the price though. I know it was reasonable though.

We took Disney's transportation back. Although we boarded at the DLH, the bus had just picked up people at hotels along Harbor Blvd.

Regarding places to stay, we have stayed at the GC, DLH, PP, Candy Cane Inn, and the Ramada Inn Maingate.

The Candy Cane Inn is on the same side of the street as Disneyland, but is down a couple of blocks. They have a shuttle. Their rooms are nice and clean. The hotel is small. The pool is small too. They have a very good continental breakfast. We really liked staying there and would stay there again.

The Ramada Inn Maingate is across the street and at the end of the block. We paid for an upgraded room so I am not sure if what we got was better than a regular room or not. The room was very nice. It was clean. The pool was a bit larger than the Candy Cane Inn. The continental breakfast was not good at all. The place where the food was put out was very small.

The CG was our favorite, but of course it was the most expensive. The location was great and the room was very nice. Loved the pool.

The DLH was nice too. The room was large. We didn't swim on this trip, but the pool looked fun.

We went to the PP about 8 years ago, so I don't remember much about the rooms. I think it has been updated since then.
