So, when going to another resort from SSR, or coming from another resort to SSR, how do you go about it?

For example, we have a breakfast ADR at Boma one morning - how would you get there if using WDW bus transportation?

Also, we have a dinner ADR at WCC at the WL one evening - how do we get back to SSR?

How late do the busses run?

Thanks! :sunny:

Buses will run for about 1/2 to 1 hour after the parks close. Some people here willsay its very difficult to get around but my dw ds and i stayed at the pop before we just bought dvc and we found it pretty easy to get around for example we ate at ohana so we took the bus to mk and then the water taxi to the poly. So all you need to do is figure what form of transportation works best for the situation they have monorail, bus, water taxi and ferry and let me tell you we used them all with ease no trouble at all just need to be creative.

What about resort busses to/from DTD? Do DTD busses run later than park busses? Maybe we should just catch a bus to DTD when leaving the WL after dinner?
And, maybe we should catch a bus at DTD to AKL the morning we have breakfast at Boma?

Is this what others do when staying at SSR?

How far is the walk to DTD from SSR (using Community Hall as a starting off point)?

DTD buses do run later and yes this is an option pleasure island is open much later and there are buses i think same rule applies 1/2 hour after close. Like I said just need to be creative we went to three parks in one day plus eating with ease using there transportation it was very good.

I would just walk to DtD or take the boat from SSR. Then once at DtD just board the bus for which ever resort you want to go to. The walk to DtD from SSR depends on where your room is. I believe Congress Park is the closest to DtD walkway. We used that walkway many times and found it to be a 10 min walk tops! That's with 2 kids in tow!

Transportation from resort-to-resort does require some planning since changes need to be made to get where you want. Options include going to a Theme park and changing buses to your next destination or going to DD and making the change. I'd allow an additional hour to get from one resort to another to allow sufficient time.

If you are going to one of the monorail resorts, take a bus to MK and then either monorail or boat to get to your destination (you can aslso walk to the CR).

If you are going to BWV, BCV, YC, S or D take the bus to MGM and then get the Friendship boat to your resort of choice.

For any of the other resorts - walk or take a bus to DD and then switch to that resort.

If you do have an early morning reservation (like an 8am character meal), bus transport may be difficult to allow enough time to get there. Taxi service may also be a good option. If there are any questions about the best mode of transport, ask any of the Bell Staff or bus drivers. Either will be happy to advise.

Enjoy!

GREAT! - Thanks for all the info! :thumbsup2

Doesn't sound too bad...it actually sounds pretty easy to get around. :goodvibes
