Transportation to/from LGB

My boyfriend and I are planning a last minute trip down to Disneyland in December before my annual pass expires . Generally, when I go with my best friend and fellow Disneyland addict, A, we stay at my aunt's house and rent a car. This time, however, my boyfriend and I decided to stay in a hotel near Disneyland, the Clarion. I see that the Super Shuttle is an option but I was wondering if there were another, less expensive option to get to/from the airport.

We might end up renting a car for the first day and just exploring SoCal a bit but if we don't, it would be nice if we didn't have to spend $82 (with $6 discount) on round trip transportation. At that rate it almost makes more sense to rent a car.

Does anyone have any experience doing this? Any advice? Thank you!

$82 round trip? You'll be hard pressed to beat that I feel.

Is the $82 per person or total?
It's $45 for a cab from LGB to the DL area hotels but usually $55ish going back.

I researched this in July & the best deal I could find was supershuttle from LGB for $39.60 each way for 2 people using the Anaheim Orange County discount. Although, you may want to add in parking fees & gas. But if you are going to go somewhere other than DL maybe rental car is the best bet. I used Uber to get from Long Beach to DLR (and back), and it was $42 each direction. That's a flat rate and doesn't matter how many passengers you have. If you search online you can find a $30 coupon for your first trip on Uber, which cut my cost considerably. I would highly recommend it.

Last trip hubby and I took we did a cab. Oh it was so nice!! It's a little more pricey but I thought it was worth it not having to do the shuttle thing!

Looks like GenGen has the best option for you. $45 is the average amount we quote guests to get from LGB to the Disneyland area; taxi, private town car, or shuttle.

Thank you for all the great info! My aunt actually volunteered to give us a ride so we won't need to do the shuttle option this time but I am putting this info in my Disneyland file so I can use it in the future!
