I apologize if this is a frequently asked question. With the search function not working, I have to ask you experts.

If we are staying at Disney (the Wilderness Lodge specifically), what are our transportation option for getting to/from Universal? We don't want to rent a car.

I thought I read one time that Mears ran a shuttle bus. Does anyone have details? Prices? Schedule? How to reserve?

Next question--there is a possibility that my SIL's family, who is also staying at the Lodge, will want to go to Universal the same day. Her group and mine total 7 people. Is feasible and possibly more economical to use Tiffany Town Car? We plan to get one of their vans for our transport to/from the airport and WL.

Yourride has 10 passenger vans (they don't charge extra for a van). They have really good rates. We used them when we went to WDW in November. They were very reliable. We're planning on using Yourride again for our October trip to Universal. Rabbit is the greatest!!
Here's the website: http://www.yourride.net/rabbit/
Just click on Attractions, for the rates from Disney to Universal.
I posted my report on yourride back in November, this is the link: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=123669

Oh my, when you compare those rates to Mears', we're talking highway robbery!

Over $80.00 for a roundtrip to the resorts??? So if you do not come in a party of 10, you lose a ton of money, did I read this right?

It is only $54.00 for a van to Universal Studios. It would be cheaper and more convenient to use "Yourride". I think it is approx. $9.00 per person for Mears. IMHO I would not use Mears again, only because you have to travel with others(not saying bad) but if there are alot of others, you will waste time dropping all of them off at their hotels too.

There's a $5 coupon you can print out. So it would only cost $49 roundtrip for a van.

In my case, it is a party of three. Does not sound like a good choice for small families at all...

I drive up from Southwest Florida so transportation is not an issue for me but I have to agree with Wanda. Seems to me you could rent a car for a lot less than 50 bucks and not be at the mercy of pick-up and drop-off times and places, plus have added mobility for visiting other attractions, shops, restaurants, etc.
If you are using your Entertainment book for hotel discounts check it out for car rental discount/upgrade coupons.

I called Mears and their price is $12 per person for everyone over age 4, round trip.

I think it's reasonable.
