Transportation to Early Tour at MK

I have a question for the people in the purple pants, or anyone else who may know the answer. On our next trip we are going on the Steam Engine Tour. The CM told DH we had to be there by 7:10 AM and there would be no transportation at that time. She said we would have to take a taxi or park our car at Comtemporary and walk over. Is this true? We will have our own car, but I didn't think they would let you park at the Contemporary all day(We will probably stay in the park for a least a few hours after the tour ends).
