Hi

our group is going to see the grand gathering "wishes" fireworks cruise. we are staying at the boardwalk. getting there i dont see the problem as far as the transportation. i was wondering about getting back to the resort after the cruise is over. since it will be over after 10pm -would we still be able to cut through epcot since its closed or take bus transportation back to boardwalk? i was just trying to figure out the best way to get back to the resort.

Your only WDW transportation option would be the bus from MK to BW.

You wouldn't be able to walk through Epcot.

You can also grab a taxi from any of the MK resorts to your hotel if you are running late. But I agree with the previous poster that a bus back to the Boardwalk is a good idea......unless the MK is closing. Then it will be very crowded at the bus station. Try killing some time at one of the MK resorts and in about 20-30 minutes after closing everything will be very peaceful and quiet. Buses continue to run for at least an hour after park closing.

The grand gathering wishes fireworks cruise starts and ends at the Contemporary. Assuming at least 8 in your party, you would need more than one taxi. Take a bus from the Contemporary to Downtown Disney and transfer there to a bus to Boardwalk.

This is not something you want you do unless you have no choice. You can walk from the Contemporary to the Magic Kingdom bus station in about five minutes. Just take the bus from there back to your resort.

the bus from the magic kingdom sounds like it may be our best bet since we have so many of us there.
