Transportation to and from Airport question

I tried to work my plan today with two different ME members. Both told me that I could only schedule the ride on the last day of my trip.

So I called the rental car place with a local next to Disneyland and they told me to call back tomorrow and they would lower my price - they have a service where they will also pick me up from my hotel and take me to thier WDW location.

According to her they keep the prices high until about 45 days out in order to keep people from booking all thier cars too fast. They are counting on some people reserving early and paying a higher price. Then lowering it when the dates get closer to get all thier cars out.

Did you call DME directly, or did you call the main number for Disney?

It's been a few years since I did this, but if I remember correctly, when I checked in at the Welcome Center (so insist on doing that instead of going directly to your bus line), I was able to change my DME return ride to the very next day. The rental rate at the airport doing this was about 1/3 any other option.

Alternatively, just dial O from your resort room and schedule your personal DME return for when you need it - with no excuses/explanations.

I am sorry your having a hard time- I have done what you would like to do many times to either pick up or return a rental car. I have also had members of the family arrive later than check in day and or leave earlier than check out day without issues. I have also used DME without flight information many times.

Best bet is to call DME directly and just make the reservation without giving out too much detail. Some people just pick a flight to anywhere that leaves about 3 hours after you want to leave for the airport and book DME using that. I may just be easier for the DME CM if you have some sort of flight info?
