Is there parking at (or near) the Transportation & Ticket Center? Traveling with older parents and would like to take them on the Monorail, but trying to cut down on the walking. We're staying on site, but not in a Monorail resort. Any help would be appreciated.

Take Disney transportation to the MK then take the monorail. I'd take the resort monorail, get off at the POLY and walk around. Shop. Get a drink. Have a meal. If you're up to it walk around the resort.

There is a small free parking lot at the TTC however it's only for those going to purchase tickets at the nearby booths. It's not for day parking.

You can't park at TTC? I was told you could. Where do you park if you want to drive to the Magic Kingdom? I had planned parking at the TTC a few times during our trip. I guess I misunderstood.

I think there's some miscommunication - you CAN park at the T&TC lot, if you mean the huge parking lot serving the MK. If you mean the nearby lot for ticket purchases or Lost & Found/Kennel - those are short-term spots.

To your question - I don't know which would involve more walking - Disney bus to the MK, followed by a walk to the MK monorail station (they are on opposite sides of a fairly large esplanade,

Or park T&TC, take tram to monorail station and take monorail. I'm thinking that would be best - especially if you can snag a spot at the end of the aisle by the tram pick-up.

To get there, just follow World drive to the MK parking booths, show your parking pass, room key, or AP or pay the $$, and follow the markings.

If you can also get your hands on a AAA diamond parking pass, you can park near the handicapped spots - but my experience at MK is that involves more walking than just taking the tram.

If you plan to stay less than 3 hours, simply park in one of the resort lots directly. You will receive a 3 hour parking pass at the resort gate if you tell them you are there to look around.

You could ride all three monorail tracks and be back to your car in less than three hours.

Actually, that's an excellent idea. We've parked at Polynesian quite often to monorail resort hop, ending with dinner at Kona. We've never had a reservation at Kona, just did walk up, and they still let us park. We also used valet, so they may not have cared - Disney got their money anyway. Actually, they didn't - we used our Tables in Wonderland card to cover parking. Anyway . . .
