I'm wondering if you can get to DTD via the boat from FW. I know that we took a boat to DTD from PO (well it was Dixie Landings then). Thanks!

the boats from fort wilderness will take you to the Magic Kingdom, there is also a resort launch that will take you to the wilderness lodge and the contemporary resort

Downtown Disney is in a totally different area of WDW than FW. They are not connected by water.

Downtown Disney has boat access from Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter, Saratoga Springs Resort, and Old Key West.

There is a direct bus from DTD to FW.
