Transportation question?

We have reservations at OKW for August 9. Here is the situation, my son and I are using our free tickets from Southwest and there were no flights available for the 9th using our free tickets and we have to fly down the day before. My husband will join us the next day as he couldn't get the eighth off from work. My son and I are probably spending the first night at the a value and won't have a car. How can we get to OKW the next day.

I know that you can take the buses to DTD and then get one to OKW. I am not sure about the luggage factor though.

You can take a cab. Or, you can have Disney move the luggage for you and take a bus. While there is no direct bus between resorts, you can just hop on the first bus that shows up at the value, then get an OKW bus wherever the first bus drops you off.

Thanks for the info. I am going to try and call DVC when they open this morning and see if I can just book another night at OKW. If that is available, I will just use the extra points for a Saturday night.

If you take a DTD bus, you can catch a boat from DTD to OKW. It may not be the fastest way, but it's a nice boat ride.

The boat drops you off at the Hospitality House, where you can check in.

Disney will move your bags for you from the value to OKW, but you may not get them until late in the afternoon.

Thanks, I was able to book the extra night at OKW. It will cost me more points, but oh well.
