Transportation Question - Time wise can we do this?

Can we do this...

Our last day we've booked the boys on the Pirate Adventure that runs from 9:30 - 11:30am leaving from The Grand Floridian following that they'd like to go to Goofy's Candy Company in Downtown Disney.

Problem is our flight home leaves at 4:55pm meaning we'd have to be back at Pop Century to catch the ME by roughly 2pm.

Can we fit Goofy's Candy Company in there and if we can how do we get there from the Grand Floridian using Disney transportation?

At what time would we have to leave Downtown Disney to catch the bus back to Pop Century to be there by no later than 1:30ish?

I think you could do the Pirate Adventure easily, but I wouldn't even try the candy shop trip in DtD, if you're leaving Pop at 2 PM. You could possibly pull it off, but it doesn't sound like it would be enjoyable. Besides the length of time you'd want to spend at DtD, keep in mind that buses to DtD are notoriously infrequent (to and from DtD) and often stop along the way to pick up/drop off waterpark guests.

I'd just go from GF to MK via monorail, and then catch a bus to Pop from there.

I would not attempt to go to DTD. DTD transportation is fairly slow during the day. Are there more than 1 adult? Can one adult go with the kiddo's to the cruise and the other to get your candy? If not, get your candy the night before you leave.

I wouldn't even attempt DTD in a taxi. Remember, you need to be at your ME bus stop at least 15 minutes PRIOR to your assigned time. Often, the buses are early.

Don't they have some kind of candy store at the Contemporary or am I dreaming this? I know it wouldn't be the same as Goofy's in DTD, but still might be a fun stop and easy to get to via the monorail.
