If you have four or more in your group, it's cheaper to take a limo. Another advantage -- quieter, not as many kids. You can make a stop for supplies with a limo; the bus doesn't stop.

There will be about 8 of us. If we use limo, what time can we start checkin at Port? I heard if you come via Disney Transportation ,those guest get priority

With 8 people I would definitely do the limo option. The check-in process begins around 11AM. Everyone chooses a port arrival/boarding time and once check-in is completed, you're presented with a boarding #.

I believe Concierge and Platinum members get priority.

Guests arriving by DCL bus can enter the terminal even if it is still not open to guests arriving independently. That involves getting on the bus before 9:45. It does not mean they get on the ship any sooner. That process begins at 11:30 with Concierge and Platinum guests, then guests are corralled by boarding group attributed at port.

They'll usually let you inside but seating is limited.

The Port Canaveral terminal opens st 10:30am. While it is possible to be denied entry if you arrive before your PAT, I haven’t read any recent reports of that occurring (unless debarkation is delayed for the prior cruise). Select an early PAT during online checkin and you should be good. Boarding number is directly related to PAT, so you will be waiting around if you arrive considerably earlier than your PAT.

DCL Transport guests do NOT get priority. They are given boarding numbers based on when they arrive. If you use a limo, your boarding number will be based off your PAT that you select during online check-in.

Not really. They have a small desk off to the side where they can get "priority" check in, but its only 1 or 2 agents to check you in so it gets backed up really fast. The main desk many times is shorter. Doing the platinum there does a disservice to the concierge guests because they have to use that counter and if it gets backed up they dont have the same option to use the main desks. The terminal usually opens at about 10:30 or so. They dont enforce the PAT so if you are there early, you will still get in.
