Hi! We are book for a 7 night cruise this Oct. but we are flying in a day early and needing transportation to/from port. How far in advance do you make towncar and/or rental car reservations?
Also, I'll need car seats for 2.5 and 4 year old. Do any of these offer them for free?
Thanks in advanced

Where are you staying the night before??? We always stay at WDW and DCL takes care of everyting else......I wouldn't have it any other way....JMHO

We have an evening flight that Fri before the cruise so we thought of just staying at the MCO airport or Port C. We would like to be "in line" at the terminal by 11:00.
Since we are flying in the day before the cruise, I don't think I can use the DCL transportation (?)
We're going to pass on WDW in Oct since we will spend a week there in 2006.
I'd love to spend a few days there before the cruise, but we're using air miles so we were limited on flight times and my DH can't get off work any sooner. :guilty:

Even if you arrive the day before you can use DCL transportation. We've stayed at MCO area hotels and taken the hotel shuttle back to the airport in the morning to catch the bus to the port.

So how does that work regarding the luggage and sign up time? Do you meet the rep at baggage, tag your bags and give them to him/her? Also, I booked through a TA so would they have to call to arrange the pick up time?
Thanks for the help!

You can make reservations with most transportation companies now. We used FL tours to take us to a hotel at the port. We didn't pay until we arrived at our destination. I like to use the DCL transfers back to the airport because you can check your luggage at the port and don't have to deal with it at the airport for the return flight if you use one of the airlines that has a check in there.

When you return to MCO from your hotel, just go to where DCL loads their busses, put your luggage tags on the bags, give them to the DCL agent along with you transfer coupons and get on the bus.

Nope, it's just easier if you purchase the DCL transfers before you leave home and received your travel documents. You can buy them from DCL there at the airport.

Thank you for the tips and suggestions! This board sure makes things easier for us first-timers. :wave2:
