Transportation ideas needed from Amtrak station to POR

Friends of ours are taking Amtrak to the World this summer. Aside from renting a car, does anyone have any experience as to what the most inexpensive, reliable means of transportation would be to/from station to POR. They are a family of 5.

Also, I believe I read a while ago that there are two stations near WDW and one is better than the other to disembark at. If anyone knows which station is best, I’d appreciate that info, too.
