There are 8 of us travelling together. Our flight home leaves SNA at 7am and my BIL and SIL don't want to bring a car seat for their 4.5 year old. We can get the Disneyland express for when we arrive, but not for our departure from SNA. She still sits in a harnessed seat at home, BIL wants to know if a booster seat is an option? Or if there is another mode of transport that would work? Would she need a carseat in a limo? Thanks. If it were me I would just bring the carseat and check it, as I have done in the past.

A booster seat is an option if she meets the requirements (4 years, 40 lbs, 40 inches). There's a "Bubble Bum" and miFold (I think that's the name! ) that are easier to travel with. I'm thinking either you'll need a hired car (shuttle, limo, etc) to keep your whole group together, or do two Uber/Lyft/taxis.

In every case other than a mini- or regular-sized tour/greyhound type bus, a child restraint seat is required for kids under the age of 8 in the state of California. There may be a caveat for some modes of transportation but, if they have her harnessed at 4.5 (YAY for best safety practices), I imagine they would want her boostered in a limo even if not required by law.

Was going to edit, but wanted to make sure I was seen, so a new reply instead :) Taxis and limos are NOT exempt from the child restraint laws from everything I can find from CHP and OCSD.
