We are staying at the Tropicana the first weekend in April. We fly in with our boys (9&11) later on Friday, landing around 8:30pm at SNA, rope dropping the next morning.

We’ll need some groceries, not a lot, just snacks and quick breakfast food, even a Target or larger convenience store would work. Totally willing to pay a premium, we’re saving money staying at Tropicana and having these groceries.

Lansky isn’t available for our date/time.

Options:
1) Uber/Lyft to Vons, separate Uber/Lyft to Tropicana. This sounds tough with bags.

2) Can we pay an Uber/Lyft driver or even a yellow cab to wait while we shop?

3) Grocery delivery. Don’t mind meeting someone in the lobby, but no idea what service would be best. We don’t have subscriptions to anything but Amazon. Could it be as simple as Vons delivery?

4) Is there anything in walking distance on Harbor? I think there’s a small cafe on site, but probably not what we’re looking for?

Thanks for any advice! We were frequent visitors as kids, but looking forward to the kids second trip (first was in 18).

We did Instacart to our hotel and it was perfect! We were able to get settled in while someone did the shopping for us.

There's a 7/11 next to Candy Cane Inn, and then CVS just across the road from there which also has a lot of food items.

Walking distance the best option we've found is the CVS (as pennym mentioned) at Harbor and Katella. It has way more food than both the 7-11 and the Walgreens across the street. That's our go-to quick snack/lunch load up spot. That's maybe 5-10 walk from Tropicana. If you want to Uber there is a Target a mile or so straight South down Harbor. Uber won't wait for you to shop, but you can get one there and another back. Target has pretty much a full grocery store so if you are getting multiple meals plus snacks it might be worth it for the $15-20 total roundtrip fee.
